Self-Care Allows Us to Remain Present w/Others

“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2

Kingdom Educator, take a moment to check in with yourself. Are you feeling… Hungry? Angry? Lonely? Tired? Or Stressed?

Last week educator-gone-counselor Jessica Klika from Christian Counseling Co encouraged us to listen to what our bodies are telling us, what our hearts are crying out for, and tune in to how our emotions are responding. In this week’s podcast, Jessica returns with some practicals for helping us stay grounded for living in the present, and making intentional steps toward living a life of rest.

It’s okay to love yourself by taking some steps to address your hunger, anger, loneliness, exhaustion, and stress. Caring for your own needs is a must to stay healthy and present with all those you serve. Burnout benefits no one.

In addressing your own self-care, my prayer is you’ll feel more alive when it comes to approaching your connected work with Jesus in your classroom.

Your school community needs powerful you to be fueled up spiritually, emotionally, and physically so you can bring the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth.

Praying for you to develop daily habits of rest,

Jesica Glover
